I bought this for my 3 year son because I thought it was a great alternitive to the the pile of books in a basket in his room, which was aways a mess. This bookcase made his room look much neater. I love the red, it goes great with his Disney Cars room. It seams to be very study so far, but we have only had it a couple of weeks now. It is the perfect size for little toddlers and preschoolers to get and put away their own books. No more searching for the book at the bottom of the pile or dumping them all out. The canvas seams strong, not like the cheap plastic ones. If you want it to last I would spend the extra $$$$. I only wish the pockets on the top and middle were a little deeper, sometimes the taller books fall forward, hence the four stars not five. I have noticed that my son spends more time with his books now, than when they were just in a basket. Which was one of my main goals because reading is soooooo important. You should read to your child every day. I am a PreK teacher and I highly recommend this bookcase.

We bought this for our nursery because it is fish-themed and decorated in black, white and blue. They are really nice. Larger than I’d thought, which is good because they hang over one entire half of the crib. The only thing that was disappointing about them is that they are made of very lightweight cardboard. It probably said this in the description, but I was so taken with how perfect they were for our nursery that I overlooked it. The good thing about the cardboard is that even the lightest breeze activates their “schooling” behavior and they are really cool. But had I realized they were cardboard, I probably would not have paid so much for them. I’m not sure how long they’ll last in the humid Florida weather.

This is a great addition to our play kitchen, store, and shopping cart.Pros:
Wooden – no worrying about cardboard boxes getting bent.
Graphics – great graphics on the front of the toy, but nothing on the back. I thought it would have been nice to put some information about the food on the back like on real food. Especially in a society where reading labels is a big part of knowing what you are eating.
Shape of the items – pretty good representation of the real items they represents. For example the spagetti is just like a pack of spagetti you would find in the grocery store.
Great value for play food that will last.
Cons:
Nothing on the back of the items
Heavy wood could cause pain if dropped on a little foot.
Heavy paint smell out the package… Would be a little worried if my little one put it in her mouth, but she is 5 and I don’t have to worry. I point this out if it is purchased for a younger child.

I wanted cute silverware for my daughter … not something I could pick up at WalMart. This silverware is absolutely adorable. It is very sturdy and the perfect size for her to feed herself. She loves it. We received a set for Christmas when my daughter was 16 months old, and she began using it immediately. I loved it so much that I purchased a second set, and I am planning to purchase a third so that we have plenty for our other daughter to use when she gets old enough (I’ve been known to forget pieces at restaurants … I carry 2 sets in my diaper bag at all times so I know my daughter can feed herself). I love these and would definitely recommend them to anyone. I run them through the dishwasher in the regular silverware cubby and haven’t had a problem. Ours have been dropped a lot already and have no scratches or anything. I definitely recommend these!

This is exactly what I was looking for, a fruit and veggie set that shows how the food is made ie. with a peel or leaves that have to be removed. The only draw back is that it does not include a play knife to “cut” and prepare the food. It states it has a real sound when cut, but it does not include a knife. Thankfully my daughter also received the slice and bake cookie set by Melissa and Doug which did include a play knife that worked with this set.
